EriCan Cycling Club

EriCan was founded in 2014 by like-minded Eritrean Canadians who shared a passion for road cycling. Initially focused on recreational rides, the club gradually expanded its activities to include weekly group rides in Toronto and surrounding areas, as well as participation in cycling events that support charitable causes. Over the past decade, the club has grown steadily, fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie among its members.

EriCan Cycling Club (EriCan CC) was founded in 2014 by like-minded Eritrean Canadians who shared a passion for road cycling. Initially focused on recreational rides, the club gradually expanded its activities to include weekly group rides in Toronto and surrounding areas, as well as participation in cycling events that support charitable causes. Over the past decade, the club has grown steadily, fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie among its members.

In January 2025, EriCan CC took a bold step forward by officially registering as a non-profit organization. This milestone marks our commitment to fostering a thriving cycling culture among young Canadian adults of African descent and newcomers—helping them embrace cycling as a mode of transportation, a pathway to better health, and a tool for fitness and well-being.

Our mission is clear: to build an inclusive and welcoming cycling community, to break barriers, and to create opportunities for aspiring cyclists to achieve their dreams. Together, we can shape the future of cycling in Canada.
